Playroom Conditions of Use & Policies
1. Children of all abilities are welcome to attend any of
the activities on offer, however if you are concerned about
your child participating in an activity, our Children’s
Entertainment Hosts will be glad to discuss these concerns
with you. Age limits apply.
2. All Playroom activities and times are subject to change and we ask that you check availability with the hotel prior to your stay.
3. Please book all of your children’s entertainment
24 hours in advance to avoid disappointment. Children can
be booked in for up to 4 hours per day.
4. If you require to cancel a booking at any time please inform the Children’s Entertainment Staff as soon as possible to allow them to re-sell the place. Should you fail to cancel your place the cost of the session booked will be charged to your bill.
5. Children must be pre-registered and signed in with our
entertainment hosts before leaving them in our care.
6. All details of children registered with activity staff
will be kept confidential for the duration of their stay.
On departure the information held will be disposed of safely.
7. Parents will be contacted if their child has not settled
in the playroom.
8. Anyone with any contagious conditions such as measles,
mumps, conjunctivitis, flu or heavy colds etc may not attend
any children’s activities. The Manager reserves the
right to refuse admission on health grounds.
9. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior towards other children
or staff will not be tolerated and offending children or adults
will be excluded from activities.
10. We are obliged by law to discuss with parents or relevant
authorities any incident we feel to be detrimental to a child’s
safety or well-being.
11. All accidents will be recorded in the correct manner and
reported to parents. First Aiders are on duty at all times.
12. Activity staff are not permitted to administer medication
to any child in their care, however if your child is affected
by Anaphylaxis please discuss their condition with a member
of the Entertainment Team as some of our staff are trained
to deal with Anaphylactic shock.
13. The Playroom does not provide items such as nappies, wipes
etc.
14.We provide children with water to drink whilst in the Playroom. Children are permitted to bring their own drinks and snacks as long as they are not in glass containers, do not contain nuts and are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
15. At certain times of the year we are required to perform
practice fire drills with the children. Every effort will
be made to advice parents in advance that their child will
be taking part in this activity.
16. In the event of a fire alarm sounding:-
- Do not collect your child from the Playroom.
- Parents/guardians will be advised as to where children can be collected.
- All children will be evacuated under the supervision of the fully trained staff, to the designated area outside the Hotel.
- Please leave the hotel by the nearest and safest exit. You will then be advised when it is safe to collect your child.
17. Parents/guardians are advised that they must not leave the premises while their children are in our care.
18. For the security of your child, children will only be
handed over to the person who signed them in.
19. Children must be collected on time, to allow all children
full use of the time booked out.
20. Payment to be made to the entertainment host when you
collect your child. It is possible to be added onto your room
account on request.
21. Should you have any comments regarding our children’s
facilities, the Children’s Entertainment Manager or
Duty Manager will be pleased to take on board your comments.
Parents are responsible for their children at all
times out with staff supervised activities.
A detailed copy of all policies is available in the Playroom
for any parent who wishes to read them.
We regret that the policy folder is not permitted
to leave the Playroom at any time.
