 At Dunblane Hydro Hotel we are licensed to host both religious and civil marriage ceremonies. Civil wedding services may be conducted in two of our Function Suites; the Stuart Lounge Maximum with a maximum of 130 wedding guests, or the Oak Room with a maximum of 60 wedding guests.

Some notes for your guidance which my help when organising your civil wedding ceremony in a Scottish castle in Perthshire, Scotland:
- Marriage in Scotland requires that a couple must submit a Marriage Notice (Form M10) at least 15 days prior to the date of the wedding but not more than 3 months before. You’ll be asked to submit this along with both birth certificates and either passports or other identity documents. This Notice must be submitted to the Registration Office within the district of the marriage venue. Therefore couples wishing to have a ceremony within Dunblane Hydro Hotel will submit their Notice to Dunblane Registry Office. There is a fee for this, details can be obtained from the Registry Office.
- Dunblane Registry Office can provide advice on the legal requirements of Marriage in Scotland and how to book a Registrar if you wish a civil marriage ceremony. We would advise that you make contact with them as soon as you have made a provisional reservation to hold your ceremony at Dunblane Hydro Hotel.
- A Marriage Schedule will be issued when the registrar is happy that there are no legal impediments to the marriage. If you are having a religious marriage, the Marriage Schedule will be issued to you and must be collected at least seven days before. For a Civil wedding ceremony the Marriage Schedule will be available at the marriage ceremony.
- No food or drink may be consumed in any approved place in which a marriage ceremony takes place for an hour prior or during the ceremony
